Hello Stallions –
I miss each and every one of you and hope you are safe and well! Some of you did not make it in on Monday to get your school materials. I will be sending home more information to those of you who have materials to retrieve tomorrow. Remember – do not go forward in your Benchmark, Math or Social Studies books. These are resources for your review. As details with the school’s closure may change, it is important that when we return we are all on the same unit(s). Our website has activities under Parent Resources, but I will be sharing one new activity a day just to be in touch!

Epic! is on the list of websites offering free membership now due to the COVID-19. Epic! Is the leading digital library for students and it is so accessible. You can search by subject so you can read in areas of student interest. Once you enter the topic, you can narrow the search by grade level, or Lexile level. You can narrow your search to books in a specific Lexile/grade level that are audio books and most of them have “tracking” so when the book is being read out loud by your chosen device, each word is highlighted which greatly improves comprehension particularly for kids with attentional issues.
