About

The Foundation is excited to partner with families and the community to enhance the educational experience for the students of Highland Ranch Elementary! Our purpose is to raise funds to fill the gaps the state budget leaves in education these days. This year, the Foundation will provide salaries for a hands-on Science teacher and lab, a dedicated PE teacher, a Math Impact teacher, and hands-on instruction in World Music. We also focus on keeping Highland Ranch equipped with up-to-date technology. Please join us in our efforts to make Highland Ranch the best educational environment it can be for our kids.

The Foundation was started in 2010 by co-founders Andrea Burgan, Becca Barr, and Wendy Wolfe. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are dependent on contributions made by our parents, corporate matching, and grants.

What the Foundation Funds

The majority of the Foundation’s expenses go to fund three part-time teachers: Science, Math, and P.E. The World Music program is also funded. We also help provide funding for Arts Attack and Choir. The Foundation is run by an all-volunteer board, however we do incur nominal operating costs, which is reflected in our breakdown of expenses below.
